About Julia
Warm, bright, and as down-to-earth as they come, I’m a Rochdale-born singer-songwriter now based in Sheffield. Folk and Americana music is in my blood, and I’ve been performing since I was a nipper at my late mum’s folk club in Lancashire.

I write my own songs and love putting my stamp on great classics too. They say I’ve got the voice of an angel (and a mouth that could make a sailor blush), and it’s fair to say my sense of humour is alive and well. I
love nothing more than making an audience laugh and sing!

Songs are everything to me. I write whatever feels true in the moment, whether that’s reflective, joyful, bonkers, sad, or sometimes a bit political, all of it rooted in real life.
"Standout Songs - Americana UK"

My voice naturally leans towards an Americana feel, but I’ve never been too interested in sticking to one box. If the song’s right, that’s what matters.

At the heart of it all is connection. Music that brings people together and lifts the room. I’m all about great songs, shared experiences, and a good dollop of joy. Come and join me at a show soon
