Welcome to The Songwriting Hub.  The February gathering will be the first in a series of workshops delivered by Julia Waldron, a professional Singer / Songwriter, musician, and Music Workshop leader based in Sheffield. 

Julia is inviting just six people per session to join her at her cosy music space to focus on one of her greatest loves – writing songs!  These sessions will explore:-

• finding your own unique writing voice

• learning new techniques for those days when inspiration isn’t knocking down your door 

• Writing with others – the delicate art of co-writing 

• Sharing ideas, songs and new techniques

• Enjoying time together immersing ourselves in this important craft

Who is it for?

These sessions are aimed at anyone over 16 with an interest in writing song, from complete beginners to seasoned lyrical masters.  There will be a range of exercises and activities available that can be adadpted to your level of skill and experience

When and where? 

Saturday 17th February   13.00 – 17.00 at Julia's music studio space in the Abbeydale Road area of Sheffield.  Full address details will be sent to participants. 

Any other information. 

• Each workshop will be priced at £40 for half a day

• Please bring all the tools you use for writing your own songs.  For many this is notebook and pen but please bring your laptop if you prefer.  There is excellent wi-fi available within the space. 

• Please bring an instrument if you have one.  There will be an acoustic guitar and very retro keyboard at the studio already which you are welcome to use.

• Drinks and light refreshments will be provided but please note that meals will not be available.
