Welcome to a series of song writing workshops delivered by Julia Waldron, professional Singer / Songwriter, musician, and Music Workshop leader based in Sheffield. 

 

Julia is inviting just six people per session to join her at her cosy music space to focus on one of her greatest loves – writing songs!  These sessions will look at:-

​

• finding your own unique writing voice

• learning new techniques for those days when inspiration isn’t knocking down your door 

• Writing with others – the delicate art of co-writing 

• Sharing ideas, songs and new musical techniques

• Enjoying creative time together in a warm and welcoming space. 

 

Who is it for?

These sessions are aimed at anyone (aged 16+) with an interest in writing songs – from complete beginners to seasoned lyrical masters.  There will be a range of exercises and activities available that can be adapted to your level of skill and experience

 

When and where? 

The next session will be held on Saturday 13th April  13.00 – 17.00  at my music studio space in the Abbeydale Road area of Sheffield.  Full address details will be sent to all participants.

Any other information. 

• Please bring all the tools you use for writing your own songs.  For many this is notebook and pen but please bring your laptop if you prefer.  There is excellent wi-fi available within the space. 

• Please bring an instrument if you have one.  There will be an acoustic guitar and very retro keyboard at the studio which you are welcome to use.

• Drinks and light refreshments will be provided but please note that meals will not be available.  There will be a mid afternoon break if you would like to bring a packed lunch.
