Do you want to write your own original songs? Join 'The Songwriting Hub' led by professional Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Workshop leader Julia Waldron - your one stop shop to writing better songs! Julia is inviting just six people per session to join her at her cosy music space in Sheffield. These four-hour workshops will hone in on one of Julia's greatest loves – writing songs! Sessions will include:- - finding your own unique writing voice - learning new techniques for those days when inspiration isn’t knocking down your door - Writing with others – the delicate art of co-writing - Sharing ideas, songs and new techniques - Enjoying time together immersing ourselves in this important craft Who is it for? These sessions are available for anyone (age 16+) with an interest in writing songs, from complete beginners to seasoned lyrical masters. There will be a range of exercises and activities that can be adapted to your level of skill and experience. When and where? Saturday 17th February 13.00 – 17.00 Sessions will run at Julia's music space in the Abbeydale Road area of Sheffield. Full address details will be sent to all participants. Any other information. Please bring all the tools you use for writing your own songs. For many this is notebook and pen but please bring your laptop if you prefer. There is excellent wi-fi available within the space. Please bring an instrument if you have one. There will be an acoustic guitar and very retro keyboard at the studio already which you are welcome to use. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided but please note that meals will not be available.
